Saturday: Mt. Wilson Trail to Observatory, down Toll Road, then crazy-fun "hidden" single track to Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center (16.3 miles; 5,282 feet elevation gain). Ran with Dom, Katie, Sean, Balmore and David. Beautiful "winter" morning, sun and clouds, cool temperatures, windy at the summit. All below photos from Dom.

Sunday: Bear Canyon to Baldy peak (13.3 miles; 6,293 feet elevation gain) with Billy, Colin, Dave and Dom. Mostly covered in clouds, some sun poking through now and then, some rain, temperatures in the 40s at the bottom and 20s at the summit with strong (30-40 mph) winds. Trail covered in snow starting around 8,500 or 9,000 feet. We met up with two dogs at the summit, they followed us all the way down. Super rad mountain dogs. Their owner never showed but supposedly lives in the area. The black dog who was friendly didn't have tags, the brown one had a tag but wouldn't come close enough to us. Lessons from the day - I need thicker gloves and can't forget my sunglasses! Photos below from Dom and Colin.

(I wasn't nearly as miserable as I look, even though my hands were friggin freezing!)
